“ Honestly, it's a Cup Bop clone. So much so, that you could hand me this food in a Cup Bop container and I wouldn't even realize it wasn't Cup Bop. It's good. If you've had Cup Bop, you know what to expect. If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with MisoYUM, if only for the fact that they call their potstickers what they are, rather than trying to pass them off as Korean Mandu. Only reason I'm docking a star is for the price. While not terrible, considering the cost of ingredients and the minimal labor required, $8 for a bowl and $2 for potstickers feels unreasonable. All-in-all, a good treat. Pricy, but good tasting. ”

“ If you're going to put "YUM" in your name, you better deliver. And misoYUM definitely delivers ... right to your front door ... or, more accurately, to the front door of the business park you work at. misoYUM is another entry in the "cup bop" craze and, thank sweet baby Jesus, they've brought new, mouth-watering flavors to the mix. For those unaware, Cupbop (aka"cupbob", "cup bob", etc.,) hails from Asian roots. As "taco" describes a wide variety of Mexican ingredients mixed a wide variety of ways into a succulent, savory Mexican dish, Cupbop describes one of many Asain culinary mashups. First piece of advice to newbies: MIX IT UP! When you receive your food, piled high in a hybrid Chinese food takeout/ cupbop cup, take your fork and mix it up. A lot of the sauce and meat is near the top. The next layer: Veggies, crisp and fresh lettuce and veggies. At the bottom? Rice. The more you mix, the more the flavors dance on your tongue. Second: You can pick more than one sauce. I'm an addict to the sweet, but I'm guessing most will want it mixed up a bit. However, if you're into the sweet side of Asian cuisine, you're in for a treat with the Sweet Honey Soy Sauce. YUM, indeed! Along with the sweet honey soy sauce, you can have the Mild Spicy Mayo, the Medium Asian Chili, or the Hot Sriracha Wasabi (that will simultaneously punch your nose ... and your tongue, but mmm mmm, good!). Here are your main choices in cup: Chicken (honey-glazed), Pork (red-pepper), Pot-Sticker (pork and veggie), Veggie (all ingredients, sans meat), and the one I tried one my first visit, The Combo Cup. All I have to say, of course, is YUM! I loved the sweetness of the chicken, the subtly spicy pork, the little mini pot stickers, and I love, love, love the glass noodles. Food trucks are a little out of control these days, charging sit-down meal prices. Not so with misoYUM, in-and-out at $8. And quick service! I hope the Centerville-based food truck comes down to SLC more often ... I need to continue getting my YUM on! ”
